Aloha Friends!

There’s so much going on in the world right now, and I hope you’re happy and taking good care. 2020 has been quite a ride so far and we still have elections, holidays and three months to go!

Speaking of a lot going on, last month, I moved to Hawaii with my pup Harper. We were supposed to move in March (but, well, COVID happened) and after a couple of flight cancellations and other moving complications, plus a long two-week quarantine, Harper and I are loving our new island home. 🙂

Today, I want to share with you a few big things I’ve been up to (in addition to moving!) and resources I hope will bring some peace to your day and a smile to your face.

1.  After years of thinking about it, and months of prep, I’m happy to introduce to you the EveryDay Happy Show podcast.

This feel-good podcast is designed to help you get inspired, feel fulfilled and create more ease and joy in your every day, and you can listen to the Welcome Trailer and Episode One right now and subscribe to the show to get new episodes every Thursday.

This podcast has been a labor of love and I hope you enjoy it!

2.  Something else I’m excited to share with you is the Feel-Good Challenge — 30 Days of Happiness, Self-Love and Ease.

After hearing from so many people in our Savvy Miss community that they were struggling to feel consistently happy, positive and grateful right now, our Savvy Team decided to create this special challenge that I’m excited to host.

For 30 days together we’re going to prioritize our happiness, take back our peace of mind and take time each day to feel good. If you could use this too, I’d love to have you join me.

You can get the details and sign up here!

3.  As I’m sure you know, moving is hard. (Especially when moving across an ocean, during a pandemic, to a state where a dog requires special permits and flight details weeks before traveling — and then flights get cancelled!)

The past months put me to a test, and I truly learned how important it is to stop trying to control what you can’t, to be flexible and go with the flow. I also practiced having faith in the unknown and that even when it doesn’t feel like it, to trust that things are working out, silver linings will be revealed and everything will be OK.

One thing that really helped me stay grounded and positive was a daily meditation practice. I didn’t always feel I had time to do it, or even wanted to do it, but I knew how important it was for my mind, body and soul (and to help me be kinder to everyone around me!) so I prioritized it.

I can’t recommend meditation enough — especially with all that’s coming over the next few weeks and months.

My normal meditation routine is to simply listen to my breath or repeat a mantra for 15-20 minutes, but when my brain is especially chatty, my go-to is this Smile Meditation by Tara Brach. It’s soothing, totally grounds me and I highly recommend checking it out.

That’s all for today, friends. 2020 has been quite a roller coaster and there’s more to come, so I hope the EveryDay Happy Show podcast, Feel-Good Challenge and daily meditation practice will help put you at ease and bring a much-deserved smile to your face.

Wishing you a wonderful day!
