When my latest book, Even Better: Easier Ways to a Happier Life, hit the shelves, I jumped in and used my PR skills to spread the word. I was thrilled the morning I woke up to see that Yahoo Finance had dubbed it “The Feel-Good Book of 2024!” Being in the media doesn’t just boost book sales and help you reach more readers—it’s also a fun and rewarding experience that can truly enrich your author journey.
My love for media and marketing began when I earned my Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in Boston, where I gained a solid understanding of what journalists look for in a compelling story. This foundation led me to an exciting career in publicity at a premier entertainment PR firm in Beverly Hills, where I managed campaigns for iconic, award-winning TV shows like American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. These experiences provided me with invaluable insights into what captivates both the media and audiences—insights I now apply to book publicity.
As I transitioned into entrepreneurship, I founded EveryDay Happy (Savvy Miss, Inc.), a vibrant lifestyle community recognized as a Forbes Top 100 Website for Women and a w3 Award-Winner for Best Writing for a Lifestyle Website. We rapidly grew from 0 to 100,000 subscribers in less than two years, thanks to strategic (and fun!) PR and marketing efforts.
As an author myself, I understand the dedication and hard work that goes into creating a book you care deeply about. I’m an award-winning writer and journalist, as well as a seasoned publicist, PR and marketing consultant, and business growth strategist. I’m also a certified life, life purpose, and career coach.
As the founder and former CEO of EveryDay Happy, I had the honor of leading a lifestyle community that was recognized as a Forbes Top 100 Website for Women and a w3 Award Winner for Best Writing and Best Lifestyle Website.

4 Fun Facts About Me
1. I can say the alphabet backwards in under 10 seconds flat.
2. I dropped out of law school after four days. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life when I finished college and law school was something I applied for and got in to, so I went. And even though I felt really cool saying “I’m going to law school,” by my second day I knew that it wasn’t something I wanted, and if I stayed the only reason I’d be doing so was to prove to everyone that I could do it.
That was the moment in my life when I realized that at the end of the day it didn’t matter what people thought or said about me, what mattered was how I felt. In making the decision to leave, I chose to live my life for me.
3. I’ve been lucky to call 9+ special places ‘home’ so far in my life including: Ojai, CA, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Florence, Italy, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Boston, New York City and Kauai, Hawaii.
4. I have the cutest, sweetest and silliest Labrador pup on the planet, named Harper, who completely has my heart.
