The Publicity & Visibility Room is a live support space where you can get help and feedback on your your publicity and visibility so you can confidently share your work with the world.
Twice each month we meet live on Zoom in a small-group setting. You bring your questions, pitches, ideas, or roadblocks — and I provide real-time coaching, personalized feedback, and guidance so you never feel stuck or unclear.
You’ll have access for three months, with the option to continue longer if you’d like.
From time to time, I’ll also bring in trusted visibility experts—editors, producers, speaking coaches, and other media professionals—for practical insight and behind-the-scenes perspective.
When you join, you’ll receive full access to my DIY PR Course, a step-by-step program that teaches you how to get in the media. You can go through the course and bring your questions into the Room for live support.
Hi, I’m Emily.
For over 15 years, I’ve had the joy of helping hundreds of authors, entrepreneurs, coaches, creatives, and small business owners get in the media, build credibility, and make their work known.
I’ve worked on bestselling books, award-winning films, and iconic TV shows—including American Idol, Gilmore Girls, and So You Think You Can Dance.

Hi, I’m Emily Florence.

Should I join if I'm not good at marketing myself?
Few people are born great marketers. It takes know-how and tools to become comfortable putting yourself out there. (Not to mention practice!)
I’ll show you everything you need to know to market your business or product — even if you think you’re not good at it, or you’ve never done it before.
You’ll also receive tools to help you build confidence and become comfortable putting yourself out there. 🙂
Is it strange to pitch the media myself and not have a publicist do it? Will journalists think less of me or not take me seriously?
Also, a good publicist charges $15,000+ minimum for three months with no guarantee of results. At the end of the day, no one knows or cares about your work as much as you do.
How much time should I set aside?
The Publicity & Visibility Room sessions are around 75-90 minutes.
The DIY PR Course average video lesson is 30-minutes and with worksheets, you’re looking at around 1 hour per lesson. You can completely go at your own pace.
What if I want to target media outside the United States?
Is there a refund policy?
